My first experience with photography was with a 35mm
point-and-shoot camera at the age of ten. Although I didn't
know what I was doing, I loved the ability to take pictures
of the things around me. In college, as a graphic design
major, I took a couple of photography classes and learned
to use a manual 35mm camera. There I learned about
composition and exposure and gained a formal artistic basis
for my photography. After college, I went to work for a
printing company where I learned how to fine tune images to
make them look their best. These skills enable me to
provide a high level of creative retouching.
With the birth of my son, Isaac, I found a new inspiration
for my photography. He has also shown me the importance of
capturing his changing moods and his developing
personality. He is my inspiration for sharing my
photographic vision with others. I look forward to helping
you preserve the memories that will last a lifetime.
By working on location or in the client's home, I create a
comfortable environment so that the experience will be
relaxed and enjoyable. My goals are to produce great
portraits and have fun while doing it. Unlike the big
portrait chains, I take the time to get to know my clients,
to find out who they really are and to bring that out in
the portraits.
