Fourth of July (A Day Early)

We traveled to Cleveland last night to celebrate and cookout with our clients, Dan and Jennifer Lugo.
The boys had a great time swimming.
Isaac had his first experience with fireworks (other than going to see them). Mommy was a nervous wreck the whole time!!!
Danny had a blast too! (no pun intended)
Thank you, Dan and Jennifer, we had a great time!
We hope everyone takes the time to remember why we celebrate this day every year, and take time to think about the men and women who have given their lives so that we have this freedom. We also pause to give thanks to the men and women who are currently serving our country, and their families.
The rest of the pics are on Flickr.

Happy Mothers' Day (a day late)

Yesterday was a very important day for my family. It was a day to remember my beautiful wife, Robyn, who brought Isaac into this world before leaving it herself. I know that she is watching over us, and must be very proud of the young man that our son is becoming.
It was also a day to celebrate Leah, who has been a terrific mommy to Isaac, and a wonderful wife to me. She's the one who makes it all worthwhile. I don't know what Isaac and I would do without her.
I hope that all of our friends and clients had a wonderful day with their friends and families. There is nothing in this world more special than the love of a mother for her child.

Easter Mini Sessions (The Photos)

I can't believe it's been almost a month since my last post. It's been a very busy few weeks, but I hope to get caught up this week.
Our Easter mini sessions were a huge hit. We were able to photograph nine very excited children with three amazingly tame bunnies.
The weather was perfect and everyone had a great time. This will definitely become a yearly event for Tony McDaniel Photography.

Isaac's Fourth Birthday

Today at 11:56 marks the fourth anniversary of the happiest moment of my adult life: the birth of my wonderful son, Isaac.
It amazes me how quickly the years have passed, and how much we have have done in these four years. We've travelled from Tennessee to Idaho and back three times (by car and plane), made lots of new friends and had many adventures in between.
It has been a fun, challenging, amazing journey and I can't wait to see what happens next. Happy Birthday, Isaac! We love you very, very much.
In order to keep the number of photos in this post to a reasonable number, the rest of the images are available on Flickr.

Happy Thanksgiving

It's Thanksgiving Day, and although I haven't been feeling that great today, I have a lot to be thankful for.
First and foremost, I am thankful for all of my friends and family, especially Isaac and Leah. You make my life worthwhile in many ways.

I am also thankful for the talents with which I have been blessed, and the opportunities I've been given to share them with others. I had the opportunity to help Hospice of Chattanooga with their fundraising efforts, and helping Leah with her work for the Junior League.
Of course, I am very thankful for all of our great clients. There's nothing that I love doing more than making photographs, and the best part is getting to meet new people and become a part of their lives.
I hope that everyone reading this is having a great day with their family.

We had the pleasure of photographing this family a couple of weeks ago. The weather was beautiful and we all had a great time, even though Chris wasn't feeling too well.

Deacon's First Birthday Party

Today was Deacon's first birthday party. We were very glad to be able to spend the afternoon with Deacon and his family.
Deacon got a ton of presents, which he really tore into.

He had as much fun with this cake as he did during his last portrait session.

The bigger kids got to play in a pool in the back yard.

At the end of the day, there was a mess, and a very happy one year old.

Happy Birthday, Deke!

Happy Father's Day

Today is my third Father's Day. The challenges of parenting have changed a lot as Isaac has grown up, but the rewards just keep getting better. Isaac is an amazing child, and watching him grow as a person is the best thing I could wish for.
Last year, we spent Father's Day at Lucky Peak State Park in Idaho. The weather was warm and the water was cold. We had a great time.

We spent a lot of time playing outside in Idaho. Even when it was hot, it was easy to stay cool. As it gets hotter and more humid here in Tennessee, I miss the Idaho weather more and more.

It's been a big year for us. We moved back to Tennessee from Idaho, which resulting in a great road-trip adventure. We stopped in Grand Teton National Park to play in the lake with the mountains in the background.

Of course, Tennessee has it's share of places to play in the heat, like the fountains at Coolidge Park.

Not all of our time is spent in the water. We've gone on two train rides since we've been back. Isaac loves the trains.

Isaac was also a big part of our wedding day. He was so handsome in his tux.

This year, I got to help Isaac catch his first (and second, and third,...) fish.

It's been a great year, and I can't wait to see what the next one has in store. Best wishes to our friends, relatives and clients. I hope you have a great Father's Day, too!
